Red Bull CORR Races!

It is that time of year again! My Cousin, Steve Barlow (Barlow Motorsports), has raced for Red Bull for years and back in 2003 he started racing the Championship Off Road Races (CORR). Last year when Gregg was still recovering we went to the races on the weekends. It was so nice to be able to be a part of the races, and it is always great to be with family! Steve did great in his Pro-4 as well Ricky Johnson, who now races for Steve in the Pro-2. They are both such a blast to watch. This weekend we had a lot of friends come and watch the races with us, including my mom and dad! So here is the best part, the pictures! Thanks Dad for the great shots!

The Great Spa Rolling

On Sunday I went over to my parents house to hang out with my mom for a bit. It just so happened that I was there when Dad was moving the old Spa from the backyard to the front of the house. Don’t worry they are not trying to become the neighborhood entertainment. They decided to sell it once they saw how much it cost to keep it warm and how little they used it. Mom put it up on Craig’s list and sold it with in 30 minutes! Dad called a bunch of Men from the church to help him “roll” it out to the front where the new owners would be picking it up from.

Well there was a great turn out to the “Great Spa Rolling”! I had to park my truck all the way at the end of the street there were so many people there to help. It was not as big as a Barn Raising,But it sure was entertaining watch them roll that monster out to the front yard!
After all of that hard work, Dad and I went to the Gerry’s Blueberry Farm and did some berry picking! Yummy!! What a great end of an afternoon of hard work. (I worked hard to! I had to tell them all what to do!)

Yesterday while meeting with a client we realized that our office was being visited my a swarm of bees! There was no way of getting out of the office with out walking though a frenzy of bees. We watched as a couple ran to their car from the restaurant next door. They ran to the passenger door, opened it and both crawled in as quickly as they could, keeping the bees from entering the car. It was sadly almost entertaining. We continued to watch as the bees started to congregate on the top of one of the trees in our parking lot.
Dad and I being the curious ones spend quite some time hanging out in the parking lot trying to get the best view of this growing "nest" of bees. Dad realized that he had some binoculars in the car, that was even better! My good friend and co worker Dawn had dad “walk” her to her car, she diffidently does not like bees.
It is funny what brings us entertainment at work. Sometimes it is someone who walks in the showroom with a wacky request, and sometimes it is a swarm of bees freaking everyone out in the busy parking lot. And yes, they are still there, hopefully not for long.

This weekend Gregg and I were so excited to have our close friends the Freischlags come and stay with us for a few nights. Chris and Jillian lived here in Camarillo and recently moved to Sand Diego with the Navy. Chris and Jillian were our first good friends when Gregg and I moved back to Camarillo and started attending the church I grew up in. They have been such a blessing to us and always a Blast to hang out with. Chris and Gregg love to hang out making salsa, Steak, Chili, and lots of other manly food. Jillian is always a great friend to talk with, read a good magazine with, shop for great shoes, and she even teaches me to cook a good meal! Chris and Jillian have 2 kids, Simon and Karis. They are adorable and we love having them around. Although they now live “far” away we try to see each other as much as possible. We are loving having them here and will miss them even more when they leave. Thanks guys for being great friends, and we look forward to the Lord bringing you back to Camarillo some day soon!

On the Road Again!

We are back!!! And Gregg is back to work! As of Monday February 18th Gregg is officially back to work, and yes on the Motorcycle!!! He still has some recovery to get his muscles back to 100%, but he is BACK!!! Thank You Lord for saving my husband and getting him back to a job he loves! And yes, I too want him on the motorcycle!

Well it is official, I have the flu. Not the best timing, but it is cute watching Gregg try to take care of me. Mom, Dad, and Christy helped us out today by driving us around and feeding us. Well trying to feed me. It is such a blessing that we now live near family. I can not imagine how hard this would have been if we were still in Santa Clarita. So please be in prayer for me. This is one of the most critical weeks at work and i have only been there so far this week for about 8 hours. It is always a bummer when you get a chance to stay at home and rest, but desperately want to be at work. I am so glad that I know God is in control of the office as well as out illnesses and injuries!

Staples are out!

Today Gregg had his first doctor’s appointment. I was surprised to hear that Gregg was going to have his staples out! Only six days after surgery! The good news is that his guts did not fall out! :-P I will say that the incisions sure look better with out the staples in!
The Doctor was nice enough to tell Gregg and I exactly what he did in surgery. We were not sure how he got the bone needed from the hip for the femur. What we found out is that he keeps the contour of the hp by taking the bone from the "inside" of the hip. He takes strips of this second layer bone in the hip and pounds them into the femur break that is not healing. He also explains that the tools are quite crude looking, like what you would see an old wood worker would use to carve wood.
We will know in about 6 weeks if is looks like the bone is healing. Until then Gregg will have to keep off of his right leg completely. This means 6 more weeks of using crutches. But we are hopeful that after this Gregg will be back on the road to 100%.

Update on Gregg

On Tuesday Gregg had a bone graft sergury to help the largest break in his femure heal. The recovery time for this sergury is about 6-8 weeks. I was delightully supprised to see how well Gregg looked after undergoing a 2 houre procedure. I actually have never seen him look so good after a sergury, and there have been many. After only 2 nights in the hosital Gregg was sent home.
This recovery is going o be a hard one, but thankfully nothing like after the accedent. The really hard part of this recovery is that Gregg's hip had bone removed, and therefore the muscles have been heavely tramutised. Poor boy, you never realize how much you use those muscles. We are excited to see how quickly he will recover.

Wisdom Teeth- Gone!

So I finally did it. I got my wisdom teeth removed, all 4! Monday was my surgery at the Oral Surgeon. Due to the schedule of this summer Gregg and I figured now was the time to get it done. It was just about what i thought it would be. I get really sick with anesthesia so... at least i was knocked out for most of Monday.
Here are a few of my favorite moments to laugh about:
1) I was not able to walk well after surgery so Gregg (2 broken legs) and Mom (Parkinson's causes her to trip on any bump) had to help me get into the house. From what mom says it sure was a site! Mom said it was like the blind leading the blind.
2) When a couple was about to get into the elevator with the nurse, mom and I, the decided to wait after seeing me dry heaving. They politely offered to wait. Mom said that i told them jokingly, "Hi nice to meet you (reaching out my hand to offer a hand shake and then pretending to dry heave)!" Mom said they all got a good laugh out of it.

Anyway, i just want to thank my wonderful husband for taking such good care of me, you are amazing. And Mom, thanks for checking up on me and getting me what ever i need from the grocery store! I love you guys!

PS- obviously I am not posting any pictures- but I am sure you can picture it. And yes they do call me "Cheeky"

Today was Gregg’s first appointment with his new doctor. Due to his insurance we had to change doctors from the one that first treated him for the breaks. Before we went in for the appointment we both focused on the fact that God is in control of who is Gregg’s Doctor. This really helps, especially when you feel like they do not care as much as you wish they would.
So the bottom line, the doctor is from God and Gregg does have to have a bone grafting surgery. This is when I really need Perspective on the situation. I had dreams of Gregg continuing on his journey with out any further complications, he has had enough to deal with. At least that is what my hart feels. Anyway back to the material facts. Gregg will have sugary in about 3-4 weeks from now. The recovery is 6-8 weeks to get back to where he is now. I am not caught up that much yet on what this procedure entails for Gregg but we are going to get set back a bit.
Please be praying specifically that Gregg and I will Honor the Lord through this. There are some issues we will be dealing with the immediate is the Workman’s Comp. They have to approve the treatment for Gregg. The thing we want the most is for them to approve a pain Management Doctor for Gregg. This surgery will have more pain management issues for Gregg because he is already on so many drugs. Then there is the timing. The sooner the better because Gregg only have a year to get back to work before they medically retire him. And then we have the Copeland’s coming this summer and we want to be up and “running” as much as possible while they are here for the month.

This weekend was Christy’s 20th Birthday!!! We took here with us to Chula Visa to watch our Cousin race in the CORR Pro 4 races. He has a racing company “Barlow Racing”. He is the most winning person that Red Bull sponsors. He used to race the Baja races, but moved to CORR off road track racing because he kept winning the Baja.
Steve Barlow, my cousin, races the Pro-4 truck and then his new team mate races what Steve was racing. The Pro-2. We get to stay in the “Pit” in between races. That is where the RV’s, the Trailer, and the actual ‘Pit” where they repair the trucks after the races.
I used to watch Steve and Marie’s twin boys when they were 4 years old. They are now starting high School this next year. Bradley and Tyler love to play Nintendo Wii with Gregg. (Gregg brought it to play in the RV in between eating and the racesJ
This race was a lot of fun. We stayed in a Hotel and did some shopping and eating out to celebrate Christy’s Birthday. Also it was nice to see Steve make it on to the winners podium wit an amazing 3rd place win, even after getting a flat tire!
So there is lot’s more to share but I will leave it at that for now.

The past 24 hours have left me confused as to what the day and time really is but I’ll try my best to keep things straight. We boarded our flight at JFK for Conakry (with a brief planned layover in Brussels) around 5pm Monday evening and quickly got ourselves situated in our seats. The Lord even blessed us with an empty seat to put Canaan in, a couple was willing to switch with us. We waited anxiously for our flight to begin… waited some more until a few hours had gone by and we were informed that all flights out of JFK to Europe were grounded.

It didn’t even sound like we were going to be leaving that day but after some more waiting the weather apparently cleared and we were ready to take off. The only problem for us was that we were leaving three hours late and our layover in Brussels was only two hours long… the math wasn’t adding up.

Canaan did great on the flight, slept for much of it and wasn’t a bother to anyone. As we neared Belgium we were informed that most flights would have to be rescheduled. As we left the plane we were met by an American Airlines agent who was assigned to make sure that we were taken care of. We learned that the next flight from Brussels to Conakry isn’t until next Tuesday and that just doesn’t work for us. The plan ended up being that tonight we will stay in a hotel in Brussels and in the morning we will be driven to Paris, France and from there catch a flight with Air France to Conakry. American Airlines is taking care of all of that and have been really good to us so far.

So here we are, waiting it out in a hotel in Brussels, Canaan is exhausted but doing ok, we are trying to get his naps timed out so that the time change will be easier for him. Keep us in your prayers as we drive to Paris and get onto our flight to Conakry. It’s been a long few days for Canaan, we left Sunday morning from Shelburne, Ontario. Thanks everyone for your prayers and comments, they are a blessing and encouragement!

Surgery? Again??

Yesterday was another check up with Gregg’s Doctor who did his operations. Gregg had to have x-rays done right before the appointment so that the Doc could see how he was doing. Because Gregg is much more mobile then he was last month, the x-ray technicians were able to get views of the breaks that we have not seen before. Gregg and I were shocked at what we saw! His breaks are way worse then I thought before! He has a huge part of the femur that is a “butterfly” piece that was just separated from the rest of the breaks. It was long and skinny. I could not get over how bad it was. No wonder he was in so much pain!!!
The x-rays shows that the bones are healing, except for one bone break seemed to be running behind. It is the long pointy part of the “bitterly” piece. It is probably not healing as fast because when Gregg was hit, the bone was ripped off of the muscle. The Muscle is what brings blood supply to the bone so that it can grow.
So we have an appointment for 6 weeks from now to take another look at the healing. If the bone does not catch up and show good healing the Doctor said that Gregg may have to have a bone graph. This is common for such a traumatic injury like Greggs.
Please be praying that Gregg’s muscles will reach the bone and that it grows faster. Another surgery would be a set back for Gregg. BUT praise God, We know that God is in control and we can rest in that!

A lot has happened....

Well a lot has happened since Gregg has come home form the hospital! I will not be able to update it all on this one post, but i think things are starting to slow down and now i will be able to start posting again. So the newest event in our "family" is the addition a puppy! She is a pit bull lab mix. She will look like Sydney's twin for sure! We have loved having her! Today a week ago we drove down to Hollywood to get her!

Also I am sure that you can see in the picture that Gregg has bleached his hair and grown some facial hair! He is defiantly enjoying his time off work, as much as he can! Gregg is starting to be able to walk with a cane for portions of the day! He loves not looking like such a gimp! :-) I think it is cute!

We have been really enjoying going to the races with friends. my second cousin Steve Barlow races Off Road track 4 wheel drive trucks. He races under his own racing company, Barlow Racing, and is sponsored by Red Bull energy drink. We have been to two races and are getting excited about the next one on the weekend of the 9Th and 10Th.

This holiday weekend we went to Hume Lake and stayed with a friend's family in their home. We had a blast and felt very relaxed! our Friend, Emily, has moved in with Gregg and I. She helps me keep up with the house. It is such a blessing. Gregg keeps us busy! Emily also just started working here at Showcase as the receptionist!

Gregg is Home!!

Pictures to come...

Gregg and I came home from the Hospital on Friday the 13th, just in time for a busy weekend. If you thought that Gregg would come home to rest and watch TV... you do not know Gregg. I was ready to come home and rest from all of the "resting" that we did at the hospital, but Gregg was ready to go! Friday we went to lunch then to the Outlets here in town. Gregg was excited to get a new surround sound system for the new TV that we are getting. So at about 4:00pm we got home to play darts and finally get into bed. But not for long! Gregg was ready to get all around the house and then play some more darts! :-)
Saturday morning we went to a friend, Cody's Fire Accadamy Graduation. then from there to Lunch at his parents house. I was ready to go home but Gregg was just getting started! We went to the Simi Valley Mall to check out some cool stuff and run into a few friends. Then it was to the house! But still Gregg was all over the house working on some computer stuff.
Sunday we went to Church and then to Costco area for an outing. After that a friend came over to help with computer trouble. i was able to work on laundry. We had one more outing before friends brought us dinner.
As you can see Gregg is doing great! The doctors put him back on stronger doses of his medications before sending him home. They found that as they started taking him off the medications that they got to a point where he was just not doing well. I was sooo thankful that they raised the amounts before sending him home, he was just not doing well at all with his Physical Therapy with the lower dose.
They did send us home with a Wheelchair, shower bench, walker, crutches, and other handy devises. Gregg starts Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy on Tuesday. From there we will find out how many days a week he will be going to the Therapists. Most likely 3-4 days a week. In the mean time they tell him to walk, it helps his range of motion and strength. Well he sure has been doing a lot of that!

Update on Gregg and Friday the 13th

So it is that time of the week. I am home for a shower and to do laundry! This is the best. I go home about every 3 days to get all cleaned up and ready to go for the rest of the week. Sydney is here with me. I picked her up from Mom and Dads to keep me company while I am here. Shel is so nice to have around!
OK so here is the deal with Gregg.... He is amazing! This man is so strong and determined. He is now walking with crutches... no more walker!!! He looks great! So far he is improving greatly every day! He is now able to get up and back in to bed with only minimal help from me. Thank the Lord they let me really take care of him. I am just another one of the girls! We are thankful for that. Gregg gets more showers now that i can do it. :-)
Gregg does have quite a bit of nerve damage on his right leg. This does not help things for him. It mostly effects his knee. This makes it difficult to know if he is walking correctly. With lots of time he should get more and more of the feeling back. They may possibly do a MRI to see if there is anything else causing the "wobbly" knee. They also are looking at taking out Gregg's staples in both legs tomorrow (the 5th)! We are hoping that they will take out the stitches in his face, they are driving him crazy.
As of today we were given a projected date of Friday the 13th for a go home goal. We are excited that it is when it is. Gregg is very thankful as am I for the great staff that is there at the hospital. Gregg has come up with the idea that we are on a Cruse... we just can't leave our room, but friends can come see us! So come see us!!!!!!

First Steps!

Gregg is walking!!! Prais the Lord Gregg is walking! Gregg is now up in the Recovery ward on the fourth floor. This is Boot Camp! They have Gregg up and working for 5 hours a day doing physical and ocupational therapy. This has been a bit hard due to Gregg's pain level. As of yesterday (Wednesday) they changed his meds to help more with the pain. It is hard to deal with the pain when they keep giving you the stuff that does not work! But he is doing much better. He is also sleeping though the night!!! Gregg's white count is still low, but it is not droping, that is very good news. Also they did a scan and so far no blood clots!
Thank you everyone for viseting. He is usually done with OT and PT by mid afternoon so come on by! Gregg and I love to see familiar faces.

Gregg was in an accedent on Wednesday. He is alive. He has some injuries but over all ok. Broen femur and anke. Please go to Norm and Debra's web site to see more about the accedent. On the bike again!

On the Road again..... Yup Gregg has got a bike at work! Gregg has been with out a bike since he transferred to the Ventura Office. He has been considered an alternate. So when ever a bike was available that is when he would have a bike. Gregg is happy to be on the bike again. I am too! He reminds me of a night in shinning armor on a horse, or a bike! :P
Another update, the fourth tree is on its way down! When I got home the other day I was suppressed to see only the larger branches remaining!

My Lumberjacks!

As you know out house has a lot of trees! Even with the ones that we have already trimmed or taken down, there is still a lot and they are very messy. Gregg and I both really like trees, but unfortunately not the type that the owner planted everywhere on the property. And poor Sydney is allergic to the tree droppings from either the Cyprus, Pine, or the Pepper tree. Well yesterday Bob Anderson, Gregg and Papa chopped up some serious tree. They are taking down the 4 trees in the middle of the yard. So far they are about to finish off 3 oth them!They create the mot mess and the most of an eye sore. Although I'll bet that the things I now see due to the new "view" will be just as much of an eye sore. But Thank You Gregg, Bob, and Papa for you hard hard work!!!!

Here is a before pic from last winter when there was lots of rain and everything was much greener and the 4 trees had no idea what would be their fate! You can see the Cyprus, then the Pepper Tree, then the cyprus (really close to the ground) and then lastly the Pine Tree.

Do not be fooled! the pics make it hard to see that the trees are acutally gone. Due to the trees in the back ground but all that is left are the tall stumps! Just a few branches at the top of the pine tree to go!

We work for a "Design and Build" company that goes from concept to completion. I love what I do and the before and afters are one of the best parts! Dinner at the Bowcocks

Yes... We are the Bowcocks, and we love to have people over for dinner! So tonight we had Mom, Dad, and Papa over. I love having them over because first and foremost they are great company, but also if I forgot to buy anything at the grocery store, mom is all over it! Thanks Mom!
Today Gregg had his kidney stone procedure again, this time on his right kidney.at least until next The "surgery" was successful, and we hope not to have to go through this again... years "Yearly Cleaning"! This time Gregg made sure that they did not use as much anesthesia. Last time he got real sick and ended up in the ER. Turns out that last time they did not give him the anti-nausea meds. So this time he made sure that they did. Hello! Gregg is doing great! When i asked if he wanted to have dinner at Mom and Dads, he said "But the Darts are here!'. I laughed! He is definitely doing better this time around!
After we got home we got into bed, i had a heartache, and Gregg was drugged up. We had just got a new dog "blanket". I put it on the bed and first time we let Sydney up on the Bed. :-) We laughed at all of the funny things she was doing. She would scoot as close to the edge of the blanket to get as close to us as she could and then make faces. I played keep away with my hands. She loves to "chase" them.
Now, we are watching "Lady in the Water". Gregg did not get to see it when the family went to see it over Christmas break because he was working. :-( What did you all think of it?

Gregg is now officially at the Ventura Office. He has now for four days. The first 2 days Gregg drove around with one of his classmates from the academy. He lives here in town, close to mom and dad. They drove around so that Gregg could start to get a feel for the area. Ventura has a huge area with a lot of non freeway roads. They take care of the unincorporated areas taken care of by the state, like Ojai. So far Gregg really likes the Change. Mom, Dad and I were able to eat lunch with Gregg, his co-worker and his family on Saturday. That was fun! Although Gregg’s co-worker had to leave before he could order due to a crash.
Sunday Gregg was working so I went to Church with out him, but Gregg was able to come and spend a little bit of time with us at Sunday School. Everyone was happy to see him. They all said that they felt so safe! Craig joked that they may feel safe but do not get in his way… he is packing heat! It was nice to see him.
After work Gregg and I spent some time at Mom and Dads watching the Super Bowl and then when over to Chris and Jillian’s for some of Chris’s famous Chili and the half time show that we did not watch.
So, so far Ventura has been great!

King of the Road

Gregg loves when he is working that he is the "King of the road". Or at least people treat him that way. I would love that feeling so Gregg and I got new cars so that we could both fell like the "King of the road" all the time. Check out our new rides!

First Day!

Today is Gregg's fist day at the Ventura Office. Please pray that the transition goes well and that Gregg is able to be a blessing to this office. One cool thing is that Gregg might have a bike for the fist few months or more... Gregg is officially still a Motor officer, but he will not have a bike. How it works is he is considered an alternate rider. This means that when ever one of the motor officers are on vacation or out sick, he rides their bike. I was excited to hear yesterday that it looks like he might be back on the bike right away, at least until April! Hooray for the State paying for his commute home!

Traffic Jam!

Remember how i said that on Saturday in San Fran that we walked around for along time trying to find a place to eat. We were not able to get to fisherman’s Warf due to a protest. I have never seen a protest...until now. We were about to cross the street when we could see a huge mob walking down the street with a bunch of signs. At the time we did not know what they were upset about.. we just kept saying "Those darn Hippies". I see now that they were protesting the War in Iraq and the President. Oh well... God is in control!

Flowers!

On Saturday night when Gregg and I got back from Dinner at the Cheesecake Factory there was a surprise from Gregg for me. He had the Hotel get flowers for me and leave them in the room for me to see when we walked in. They were the most beautiful flowers I have ever received! They are Gerber Daisies, Pussy Willows, and Boysenberries! Gregg surprised me again!! It amazes me that he can surprise me, I am very hard to surprise me. I was bummed that we were leaving the next morning, but Gregg helped me get them in a plastic laundry bag to get them home. They look a bit beat up now that they flew all the way home in a bag, but I was so excited to have them still with me!

Our first night at the W Hotel

Gregg's cousin Brad was our hero for the week. He was able to get us in to a corner room on the weekend at the W Hotel for less then we would have paid at Motel 6! About 10 minuets after we got there Room Service brought us a bottle of Sparkling White wine in honor of our up and coming Anniversary. We really felt spoiled at that point. Friday night when he got off work he came up to our room and then we all went to dinner in honor of his birthday that was earlier that week. We went to Gregg's favorite restaurant "House of Nanking". Gregg has now created another "House of Nanking" fan. After dinner we all went to the new mall on Market street. We wondered around and then had some Italian Sorbet. We had fun hanging out with Brad. After dinner we went to a movie with Joel and his girlfriend. They are super cute! Gregg and I took the Bart to Oakland and saw the movie with them there. What a day!

Well our vacation is coming to a close. We are now sitting in the Lobby at the W Hotel. We will be flying out of Oakland in a few hours. We had a great time here in the Bay area. Our first day up here was a bit trial some though. The gentleman that was going to rent our house pulled out last second. Gregg and I had gone to extreme measures and worked hard to get the Condo back in working and clean order. But God knew that this was not the time for us to have a renter. Gregg and I had knots in our stomachs after the guy walked out on us. We knew God was in control and were trying to focus on that fact alone. It was really special to be with Nate and Erin at the time. Nate and Erin sat with us as we prayed for the future of our Condo and that the Lord would help us to still have a great time with our time off. It was amazing how much better we felt w=once we sat before the Lord and handed everything over to Him.

We spent Tuesday through Friday early afternoon with Nate and Erin. We had a blast hanging out with them and spending time with their 5 1/2 month son Silas. He is a cutie! We also had dinner on Thursday at Steve and Dew-z's house with Ricardo, Kristen, their son Micha, Nate, Erin, Silas, Mellisa, and Tyler. After dinner we all surprised Mom with a surprise Birthday desert. Steve had all the works for a great party, hats, cake, a singing balloon and great company!
Friday Afternoon Erin went with us to see Gregg's aunt Marge. She is awesome! We had lunch and talked about family!

Saturday we went to lunch with Joel and his girlfriend. The only bummer was that there was a big protest and it practically shut down the public transportation. So we all walked around for a bout an hour and a half trying fine a good restaurant that was worth the walk. We did, the Thirsty Bear. They have the best Steak sandwiches we had ever had! After that we went to the Hotel and Gregg and I got pampered. I got a manicure and Gregg got a Manlycure. It was a blast! That evening Gregg and I went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner and saw a movie(that we walked out on) and then watched a movie in Bed!

We had a great time and we can not wait to do it again!

Well we are definitely getting more moved in to our home here in Camarillo. Yesterday we finlay got working on our office. So far it has just been the junk room. It feels now like we actually have a 3 bedroom. Things in the Garage are also getting organized. It feels sooo much more like a home. So here are a few pics of the office and of the new couch that we got for the "Family Room".

As Some of you know Gregg is transferring to the Ventura Office as of the 31st of this month! We are excited about the change and the possibilities! I like the idea of Gregg and I eating dinner together more often! The area he will be covering goes from the Santa Barbra County line, to Malibu, to Lewis Road in Camarillo, and all the way up to the area near Pine Mountain. A big new area to learn. Gregg will miss his old office. A lot of good memories and good people. I will miss it too. I have been blessed with many opportunities to get to know some of Gregg's co- worker and their wives. But Gregg and I are excitedto see how this goes! And if it is not where the Lord ends up wanting Gregg at, he can always transfer back to West Valley!
This transfer also means that Gregg will be giving up his bike. A co-worker of his is picking it up in the morning. I think i am a bit more sentimental then Gregg but... it is still a good bye. The Ventura Office as of this moment does not have a bike for Gregg, but they said that it is much harder to find a rider then a bike. We are confident that he will be back on the bike in no time. As of now he will be an alternate rider. That means that when a bike is available, he will ride that day. So Gregg cleaned his bike for the last time but next time he cleans a bike... at least it will be a newer one!

As of today the papers are being signed to have the condo rented and moved in to on the 24th of this month!!! Praise the Lord! Please pray that all goes well and that we are able to get this all done with Gregg and I leaving tomorrow for San Fransisco! Thanks for your prayers!

Vacation!

It is that time of the year again! Not summer! That means that Gregg and I are going on Vacation. The reason I say not summer is because you have to have a lot of seniority to get vacation time in the summer. But we like any time off together! This year we are going to stay with our Friends Nate and Erin in The Bay area. They have a new house and a baby boy to play with. We are excited to see them all and enjoy some time of fellowship and fun with them.
We are also going to stay at the W Hotel in San Francisco for the weekend! This is where Gregg and I went on our honeymoon! We had a blast and we get ridiculously good pricing on staying there thanks to Gregg’s Cousin Brad who has worked and the W Hotel since it opened!
Gregg and I fly up to Sacramento on Tuesday to start our time away. We look forward to spending time just hanging out and seeing all of our family and friends that live up north. We will be sure to come back with some great pictures and stories to share!

A Tenant??

For those of you who are not aware, we have not sold nor had a renter for our house in Santa Clarita since we moved out in April. The Lord led us to move to Camarillo before we sold out house. It has been a really trying time not having anyone living there. But we have been trusting in the Lord and out Faith has been growing… believe me.
Today I received a call to day from the Realtor that has been trying to find us renters. The is a strong possibility that there is a couple who would be moving in next week! Their pipes broke with the extreme (in this part of California) cold. They have had to move out of the house while a contractor remodels/ fixes the house. They will have to be out for 6 months. They are very interested in the house and will be giving us an application by Monday. Please pray that the Lord will guide us in this process and please pray that this process does continue and that we will have a good tenant!

Mom and Dad Bowcock

Last night we were blessed by the presence of Gregg’s Parents. They were down in San Diego for Gregg’s uncle’s 50th birthday. They were able to come to our house on their way home in the Bay area. We had my (Kathleen) Mom and Dad and my grandparents over to join us for dinner. We all had a great time of fellowship and story telling. We ended the night with Gregg playing the guitar for us. What a talented man! This morning Mom Bowcock maid us German Pancakes! They were the best! (They are not like any regular pancake and they are notcrêpes .) What a treat! Thanks Mom!
So when ever you come to town and stay with Gregg and I, ask for some German pancakes, they are the best (mom passed on the receipt to me!)!

This is a picture of a German Pancake. Usually the sides get really tall. Then you squeeze lemon juice all over and then sprinkle powdered sugar on top. It sounds a bit weird... if you have not had one! They are delish!

Friends and Dinner Parties

Well Gregg is feeling better, still on some Vicodin for the Kidney pain, but well enough to eat dinner. I am taking advantage of him not working I the evening, and still being off from his surgery. We have been enjoying have friends and family over for lunch and dinner. I was excited to announce that I needed Gregg to put the second leaf in the table! We are now close to all of our friends to have larger gathering for dinner. The fist night we had the family over and our good friend Rich. And then yesterday we had Mom, Rich, and the Grindstaff family over for dinner. This time we had all 8 chairs for our table set. I will tell you what, that large table looks good! It means family and friends, and lots of them! We had a blast with the Grindstaffs. The boys plaid darts while the girls sat around the table and did what we are known best for, we fellowshipped with words! Gregg and I have been trying to get together with their family ever since we got married, but living in Santa Clarita it was hard with the hour long drive to the house from Camarillo. Megan and Derik Grindstaff are shown above on Gregg’s bike. Derik got to sit on it and turn the lights on and off and listen to the radio!

A Kitchen!!

Well these pictures are about a month old, but I thought I would give everyone a chance to see one of the things that Gregg, Papa, and I have done at the house. We were kind of burnt out after all of the work to get into the house and to get it functioning. The kitchen definitely needed help. Dad and I designed the cabinets to hold the microwave. I wanted to go for a 'Hutch" look. Gregg and Papa built the cabinets and got them all primed and hung them. Gregg and I painted them and then the men hung them. Then i got to distress them! I was so excited! I no longer had to walk out of the kitchen to use the microwave, and my cups now sit in the cabinet right by the refrigerator, and I can unload the dishwasher with out getting my daily excrcise!! We are still getting settled in but things are coming along!

A visit from the Neys!

Sunday night we had the joy of seeing our friends the Neys for dinner and then spend a few hours at our house on Monday morning. I (Kathleen) Went to New Tribes Bible Instatute with Anamda and Eric. Were were all friends when they started dating, got engaged, married and started a family. Amanda was 9 months pregnant with Titus at our Graduation. Poor thing, Titus was quite happy where he was, no matte what plans mommy had! Gregg knew Eric breefly when they were both life gaurds at Hume Lake. This was discovered last year when they came to see us and Eric saw a picture that we had up of the staff one of the years that Gregg was on staff. What a small world!

Now the Family has Grown to 4. Amanda, Eric, Titus and Tenaya. They are in Training with New Tribes Mission preparing to go on and help further the Gosple to those who have not heard. Gregory Update

Today Gregg is better. Yesterday Gregg was not even able to keep water down, the poor boy. We think it was a reaction to the anesthesia. At 8:30pm we decided to call the doctor. Due to the fact that we were not able to keep him hydrated we took him in to the ER to get some fluids. Thankfully the ER was not busy. We went back about an hour after we got there and they took good care of Gregg. They hooked him up to an IV and gave him fluid, some antibiotics, anti-nausea meds, and last but not least Morphine! Gregg was able to get some sleep in between the normal ER noises. (We had some interesting company in the beds next to us.) At about 2:30 we got home and fell fast asleep, much needed sleep.
We were glad to get some help for Gregg. He was not doing so well. But as of this morning Gregg is doing great! He was able to eat some breakfast and not get sick! Now we are a mom and dads house watching TV and both being watched over!! Sometimes it pays to be with the sick ones! :-) Thank you for your prayers everyone! (Lets hope that next months surgery goes better!)

Gregg and the Kidney

Today Gregg had an ultrasound procedure that breaks up kidney stones. Unfortunately the doctor found that Gregg had more at his last check up. The good news is that the doctor thought that he would be able to get rid of them with the ultrasound. So this morning we went to LA for the surgery. Everything went well and Gregg is now resting. There is quite a bit of kidney pain, but the doctor did give him a form of Vicodin. Please pray that Gregg feels well as quickly as possible. Next month Gregg goes in again for the same surgery on the other kidney. We have decided that this is just the yearly cleaning.
Praise the Lord he has blessed us with a great doctor to take care of Gregg. For those of you who remember last year, this is the doctor that took care of us after the first doctor almost caused Gregg to loose his kidney. And even better than an amazing earthly doctor, we have the Great Physician who watches over Gregg. We will keep you all up to date on how Gregg is.

New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!! This last year has been great! Gregg and i have accomplished and learned a lot. Our favorite event of the year was purchasing a house in Camarillo! We have enjoyed fixing it up and moving in. Although we are still not done it is coming along! We enjoy having people come to stay with us in our new home. So if you are going to be in town give us a call!! We also had a new addition to our home in the form of "Man's best friend" our new dog, Sydney! She is the perfect pet for us, and I am finding that she is also most definitely a "girls best friend" as well. We love her! And the newest news is that Gregg got his transfer to the Ventura CHP office, effective January 31st! We are excited to see what the Lord has for us at this new office.
Today Gregg is at the Rose Bowl. He has been a part of the group of C.H.P. motorcycle officers that have been escorting the USC team to practices, special dinners, and other events.
We have been enjoying the past week of having Debra and Norm here with Canaan for the Holidays! Even though we have all been sick with colds and the flu, the lord has still blessed us with amazing time of fellowship and shopping! We love having them here!

Christmas 2006 starts early!!

Christmas started early this year! Norm and Debra came last night with Canaan!! It is always the best part of the year to hang out with them! So this year Gregg and I went in with the family to get them a new computer. The computer that they have had has been giving them some real problems. So we decided to get them a computer that we knew would last them a long time and not give them the constant problems. Gregg has had an Apple computer for a year now and loves it. Last night Debra saw the Apple sicker on our car and said "Cool sticker" I followed up with, "Yeah Gregg loves his and it has never given him any problems". Deb said " We will never be able to have one... but ours is OK... it just has problems a lot...". I just about died!! Little did she know we were about to give them one the next day!!! We sent them on a phony scavenger hunt for a small gift. When they came back into the house we were all standing by the computer that we had put out for them and stated "Merry Christmas!!" They were so excited. That was the best gift ever... to be able to give them this gift. We love you guys!

Catching up! A bit late!

This year Gregg and I were able to celebrate our birthdays together and with a special guest birthday girl, Auntie Leah! Gregg turned 27 on the 7th, I turned 25 on the 17th, and Auntie Leah turned (shhh…. do not let her know I told you) the big 50! This was the first big party that we have had at our house. Mom performed her magic and transformed the backyard in to a thing of beauty! We could have had a wedding on the patio, it was so amazing! Thanks Mom! It was fun to have a lot of our friends young and old(er then us) there to celebrate! Mom was such a good sister to Leah… NOT! She had everyone give the worst “old” card they could find to Auntie Leah as a contest to see who could find the worst card!Gregg and I did not win but here are the lines from the 2 cards we gave her.

It is a good thing that Auntie Leah is a good sport and looks so young for her old age or we could not joke about it. We love you!

Christmas Party

This year we have 3 Christmas Parties to attend! Friday was the first party. This is the High school / Jr. High fundraiser banquet. Gregg was not going to be able to go because it was on a night that he works, but the Lord intervened! Gregg was assigned an area to cover that was by the church. The office that covers that area was having their Christmas party and so Gregg was sent to be in the area in case an accident came up. So while he waited for anything to happen he was able to eat dinner and watch the program at the banquet! We had a great time having him there with us, and in Uniform!! What a hunk!
Saturday was the Showcase party. The party was at a small restaurant, a nice setting to socialize with co-workers. Gregg was able to go because a co-worker of his switched morning and evening shifts. We had a good time and after the party Gregg took me out to the movies for a late date! We saw "For Your Consideration" It was good!
And this weekend we have Gregg's party! This year it is rumored that they are going to have a casino night! They did it last year and it was a lot of fun. I always like seeing Gregg's co-workers and their wives!

A New "Pup" for a "New" house!!!

Big News!
The house is beautiful and we have a gorgeous Dog to keep us company! Sydney, our new “pup” is a Boxer/ Pit Bull and who know what mix/mutt. She is absolutely a beautiful dog and a great companion who is learning how to be an obedient dog. She is doing well, for sure!! Gregg loves to go to Starbucks and sit out side with her for hours. I think Sydney probably loves it just as much! She is about 1 year old. Gregg, Rich Hanson and I found her at the Pound her in Camarillo.
In other news, the house is a joy to work on, especially now that all of the “Major” stuff is done. The flooring makes the biggest difference! Rich Hanson, Papa, And Allan from Church, got our yards looking 200% better. They cut down a dead tree and gathered up all of the leaves that have been gathering for years. They had 17 black bags of leaves alone! Thanks for all of your help everyone!!
Oh and remember the above ground sprinklers in the back yard… They are now a trip hazard thanks to Gregg and Rich!!

So... It is official! We are moving in! Sat. July 15 the Young Family, Dad, Papa, Christy, Gregg and I moved the rest of our stuff including furniture, appliances and junk to the Dara house. Praise the Lord we did not die from the heat in Valencia! It was 105 degrees!!! I think we all lost a few inches off our waits line that day! Tim, Chris, Cody joined us to unload the Budget truck in Camarillo! now that part went fast! I think the fact that it was a whole 30 degrees cooler helped alone with the extra hands!
Anyway Thank You everyone who helped us move out and in! So enjoy the pics! Oh and if you expect it to see it this clean again for a while ou are mistaken! Moving should be a crime! Well unless you have amazing help like we do!

Carpet!!!!

This morning at 8:00 am the carpet guys arrived at the house armed and ready for action!!!! This actually was a surprise from yesterday. The Carpet was delayed and was not supposed to come in until Tuesday, but yesterday afternoon found out that they had the carpet already! This was great news due to the fact that we are moving all of our furniture from the Condo in Santa Clarita to the house on Sat! So this means that we can actually move the stuff into place! This also means that we can start putting in the Wood flooring soon. So after I got over the shock of the flooring coming in early, and after spending what felt like forever getting the house cleaned up for the carpet, we are super excited! This project is nearing completion! Wooohoo!!!!
Still to come- the kitchen, wood flooring, paint touch up, new vanities in the bathrooms, and plumbing. So next time you see us give us a high five for getting so far on the project and then finish it up with a back massage!!! Thanks for all of your prayers and help everyone! We could not have done it with out you!

Praise the Lord! We are ready to paint! This has been the longest 3 months of…. Well in a long time! Gregg has been working so hard. I love and appreciate his work at our house more then anything. Check out the pics. They are of the house with the final drywall going in. All of the crazy amounts of electrical is all done! The new Windows and Sliding door are in. The walls have been added and the trees are starting to disappear. Oh yes folks of the 44 trees on the property we have cut down… a half of 2 trees. And a Total of 3 bushes. You can now see the front window of the house. So enjoy the pics!

We are now just about done with the Demolition stage and are actually putting stuff back into the house!!!!! Plumbing is going in to the new bathroom vanity position and the electrical is on its way! In the pictures you'll see Gregg's plumbing skills. The house has a lot of windows but very bad night time lighting. Papa and Gregg have been at the house all morning every morning working hard. Papa often works until the early evening! Hard workers we have! And what a BLESSING! I have been keeping busy selecting and finding the finished materials. Paint is once again my favorite and most hated part of the project! If I wasn’t so picky it would help. So here are some pictures for your enjoyment! These pictures are of our hall bathroom. We bumped the wall out into the hallway about 1 1/2 feet.

Friday14th- We Got the KEYS to the House! It is Officially ours!!! Camarillo Is home! No more Driving to Santa Clarita Every Day!!!

Saturday 15th- Demo Starts! Here is a before shot of the Fireplace/ Heater/ Pantry wall before we got keys to the house and the boys went to Town with a sledge hammer!

Tuesday 25- Demo has been a long process and we are now moving onto the electrical stage of the project! Here is an After Photo of the Fireplace wall.

They have taken out all of the floors in the house, scraped all the ceilings, and removed the lowered ceiling heights that we wanted raised. Still to come in the demolition stage.... Bathrooms and bad electrical. (the guy who owned the house thought that he was an electrician. The following picture is of the home alarm system that he built himself!
We will post some more pictures as the project comes along! And a Big THANK YOU to all of you who have helped this process speed along!!!! It is much appriciated!!!

Home Again! Sort of...

We are back! Gregg and I got home after a delayed flight in Texas, late Friday Night. We had an amazing time in Canada with the family! Canaan is so precious!!! It was terribly hard to leave the 3 of them after what felt like a terribly short trip! But we are now back in Camarillo at our part time residence with Mom and Dad.
Gregg and I spent a good part of our weekend packing up the house. I am starting to wonder if this packing process will ever end. It is a bit harder living in 2 placed at the same time... but knowing that we will soon be here full time makes it all worth it!
Good to be home and home. See you all soon!!!

Kathleen is feeling better. We got word today that Kathleen doesn't have Mono, but she has Cat Scratch Fever. She will have muscle pains for a few months, but all in all she isn't contageous. Praise the Lord, we get to go to Canada.

sick...sick...sick

Today I made a phone call to my Dr. To see if they had received any results on the tests. I new they would say no. They should be in on Tuesday or Wednesday. This is obviously cutting it close to our Thursday Flight! We are praying that the diagnosis comes back as the Cat Scratch Fever (Disease). The bummer is that even with the Antibiotics in my system since Saturday, I am still not getting any better… feels like worse. My body hurts literally from my toes to my fingers.
So is this obviously the Lord or What! I may feel like it is cutting it close but the good thing is that God is not limited by time or sickness! So lets praise Him during this time… but if you feel like sending some flowers or a gift certificate to Home Depot I don’t think that He will mind! :-P ha ha
Thank you everyone for your prayers, they are well felt! Oh and one really encouraging thing! My dad is on his way to the house with my Husband!

First off I want to say that I am soooo comforted by the fact that GOD IS IN CONTROL!
This last week I started to fell a little discomfort in my neck. As some of you all know I had Thyroid Cancer June 3 years ago. So I called my Dr. and asked if I should come in for a look-see. They said that was a good idea. I had a lymph node that was getting quite swollen. Dr. Westoff took a good long ultrasound of my neck and she said that it just looked like I have an infected lymph node and that we should just wait it out with some Advil. But within two days I started to get the muscle ace like the body flue. So I went to go see a regular physician to see what he thought. By this time quite a few of the lymph nodes of the right side of my neck were getting large and very painful. He took a look but was perplexed. He mentioned Mono but I was not experiencing sleepiness. So he gave me come meds to help me sleep at night and some anti-inflammatory for the day. That helped a lot. But by today I was feeling so sick I called Dr. Westoff again. She had me come in for a biopsy. These are never fun. But I was glad we might get some answers. She took 3 biopsy of my neck and drew some blood. This is the worst part becase fo days after it feels like they pulled out my flesh though a needle. Oh wait they did!!! So here is the story. She thought almost for sure that I have mono! That means no Canada Trip to See Norm, Debra and Caanan!!!! I am really having to rely on knowing that God is in Control at this point!
But tonight I woke up from my drowsy sleep to Dr. Westoff Calling. She said that I most likely have Cat Scratch Fever! This is awesome because all I have to do is take some antibiotics and I will be good as new, and it is NOT CONTAGEOUS!!!! So I start the Antibiotics tomorrow and then on Monday will go in for some other tests. On Tuesday we will know for sure whether I will not be able to go to Canada (this is when the Mono test comes back). So please pray for us that the Lord will guide the doctors and that I will keep my focus on the one who is truly is in control! ~Kathleen

So keep checking on Norm and Debra's Blogg because i am sure that there are going to be posting some baby pictures soon! Cannan was born at 8:15 (give or take) at 9 lbs. and 8 oz. 20 1/2" long! Debra is doing really well now and loving having her baby in her arms... and Norms!!! I am an AUNT!!!!

Hey all It is Kathleen again!!!

So just a little update on what is happening here at the Bowcock household! Gregg is back to work and back to the Overtime! He is working extra hard to give me the house of my dreams! He is such an amazing husband! I love him so much! He is still not back on his bike full time, Rain! There was even Hail here in the Santa Clarita Valley today.

I am keeping busy packing. What an overwhelming job! I am so glad that I have a husband to help when he is not at work and to call and keep me excited about the job! If that is possible.

It is going to be hard to leave our house, our first house. The condo is where Gregg brought me on our first date. He picked me up on the bike and brought me out to see his new house in the Framing stage. I loved it! Not only do I love the process of building, but he owned a house!!! Anyway… we are going to miss this home but the Lord has opened a new door and we are excited to see what he is going to do. We are starting to really love our new to be home! Can’t wait to have you all over!!!

HAIL IN CAMARILLO!!!

So this morning Gregg and I woke up to rain. Ater we got up and started to get ready it started to HAIL!!!! I was jumping up and down like a little kid. I remember as a kid when it Hailed in Filmore. It was the coolest thig ever. I am sure Gregg thoought that i was overdoing it a bit, but all of the memories of how i felt when i was a kid seeing the hail all came back. Hello All!!!!

The Lord is Good!!! Gregg is back to work!!!!! It is so good to see my husband back in his uniform and back on the bike! Even though I do not get to, what feels like any time with him, it is very good to see him back to health. So the first two days he was in a car due to rain but then it was clear and he was back on the road. :-)
Gregg and I are spending the next few nights at mom and dads house. Dad is all alone right now. Mom is in Canada awaiting the birth of the first grandbaby. CANAAN!!! Debra is not due for 3 weeks but they are trying to naturally get the baby to move out and move on! :-) I know that Debra and Norm are both glad to see mom. She is helping then getting the house ready and cooking up a storm!
Things are going well with me. Work is super busy! We could have a big year this year! Dad is getting ready to leave for Canada this next weekend. So that always means that there is more stress to get back to all of our clients and get things ready for him to leave. I know that it is easier for him to leave with me here to hold down the fort. :-) You can all be praying that the next few weeks go well. I am really enjoying working for dad. He is a GREAT Boss! Thanks dad!

CAMBRIA PT. 2

So today we started the day of with our friends Marshall (tall Canadian) and his girlfriend Jen (dark hair with pink hat), and Mike (guy with Boston hat on). We walked along moonstone beach and had breakfast at the Moonstone grill. It was amazing. The scenery, though cloudy, is so dramatic. God is soo good. After breakfast we walked back and then they all had to get ready for a wedding. Hopefully it didn't rain on the outdoor wedding they were going to. Oh and by the way it was between 45-50 degrees today (4-7 degrees celcius) with rain spuratically. Made for some amazing pictures. After walking around downtown looking at antique shops with Kathleen, we went for a drive. We drove north and saw a bunch of cars parked along highway 1. We stopped and found out what they were all looking at. It just so happens that it's Elephant Seal mating season, and they mate right there in front of everyone on the beach (see post below). It was hellarious. As you can also see there was some snowfall around the surrounding mountains.

OUR OWN HOT TUB IS A NICE ADDITION TO OUR PORCH. WE ARE SO BLESSED TO BE ABLE TO COME HERE ON OUR ANNERVERSIRY. GOD IS GOOD.

SO TOMORROW WE LEAVE FOR CAMBIRA. IT WILL BE OUR ONE YEAR ANNERVERSIRY ON THE 19TH AND WE CAN'T BELIEVE IT.

WE CAN'T WAIT TO HANG OUT ON THE BEACH, GO TO HEARST CASTLE, AND ENJOY FINE DINING ON THE CENTRAL COAST BEACH COMMUNITY. WE ARE STAYING AT THE WHITE WATER INN FOR THE FIRST 2 NIGHTS, THEN THE CAVALIER INN AFTER THAT. WE HAVE THE SUITE'S ON BOTH NIGHTS AND THE WHITE WATER INN HAS A PRIVATE JACUZZI ON THE PORCH. PRETTY COOL!

WHEN WE RETURN NEXT WEEK, WE WILL BE HOME FOR AROUND A DAY AND THEN UP TO NORHTERN CALIFORNIA FOR THE CHP GRADUATION.

BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN (well almost)

This was the first time I tried on my uniform since October due to my kidney problems. Still fits!

I officially go back to work on March first. Can't wait. Been going pretty stir crazy here at home.

DAY AT THE BEACH

DAVE, ERIN, AND BABY RIEN CAME TO VENTURA'S PIER TODAY WITH US. IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL 76 DEGREES. THE WAVES WERE MAGNIFICENT! WE GOT TO HAVE A GREAT TIME WALKING ALONG THE BEACH WITH OUR FRIENDS. WE WILL MISS THEM WHEN THEY'RE GONE THATS FOR SURE.
WE CHECKED OUT A OPEN HOUSE AT THE BEACH SIDE, 1 BED 1 BATH PROBABLY 30 YEARS OLD FOR THE BARGAIN PRICE OF 750K! NO THANKS. WE ARE HOPING TO SELL OUR HOUSE SOON IN ORDER TO MOVE TO CAMARILLO. TOTALLY IN GOD'S HANDS.

G- So PaPa and I have spend the last 4 days trying to get the spa installed in Charlie and Tami's backyard. The first few attempts at filling it up with water were unsucessful. Since the spa is at least 20 years old, and it was moved from one of his rental houses in Santa Barbara, it leaked as soon as we put water in it. Luckily the leaks weren't from the body of the spa itself, but the plumbing to the pump. So we drained it and attempted to fix the leak, but were again unsuccesful. We have since taken the whole pump apart probably 3 or 4 times to try and fix the leak. Today we got it all back together and everything looked good. We started the jets and about 5-10 minutes later a small leak appeared. We were pretty bummed, but the leak is small enough to not worry about it until tomorrow. Good times learning under PaPa's wing. (Picture is a simulation)

Today it is official! on March 30th we are going to New Tribes Michigan to hang out, and pick up Christy and then run on to CANADA!!!! Why you ask!!! Debra is having a baby!!!! I still can not believe that my beloved Debra is going to have a baby! It makes me so happy!! And is it not so perfect that they are going to have a boy! So back to the trip... Gregg and I are going to fly to Michagan to hang out with Christy for the last day and a half of school before Spring Break. I am so excited that i gt to show my beloved husband around the school I went to not to long ago. I am sure he will be impressed with the amazing and exspansive facilities! :-) But most of all i can not wait for the 3 of us to jump in our rental car and drive up to see the growing family. So pray for our trip that he keeps everyone safe and especially that he keeps Debra and Cannan safe and happy! TTFN!

furniture!

So long story. I will try to make it short... Gregg and I saved up some mula to purchase some furniture for the house. So we found a company that does Pottery Barn stuff for supper cheepo! We designed a cool couch and two chairs. We sent off our "old" stuff to family and then a couple days later we got our new stuff. The only problem was that Gregg really did not like the material on the couch and the chairs came wrong. So if you look at our house web site you will see the stuff. But the lady from the company said, "lets sell your stuff and get all new stuff." So we got a second chance at what we wanted. So now the old new stuff is gone as of a few days ago (someone bought the new old stuff). SO the pic you see is what we are getting now and two chars to go with the couch. The chairs are just a lighter tan color. So for now we have no furniture in our living room for 6-8 weeks! But we have a Blow up mattress in the living room that acts as our really Asian style couch. :-) So if you are planning on coming to visit us just know that we always have a bed set up for you in the living room!
